From a young age, Dr. Bo enjoyed activities using her hands; playing piano, crafting art projects, and joining her older brothers (including Dr. Cam!) in their video games. Still a big kid at heart, she loves all things Disney and continues to play video games. She also dedicates her free time to learning, whether it’s reading a book or trying a new recipe. If food is involved, you can count her in. From travel itineraries revolving around good eats to binging cooking shows, Dr. Bo loves exploring different cultures through the universal language of food. She was actively involved in school, holding several leadership roles and participating in outreach opportunities. Dr. Bo grew a particular interest in child development and behavior while volunteering at Seattle Children’s Hospital & Research Institute. She remained involved during her dental education in Utah, serving multiple terms as class secretary in addition to secretary in Roseman’s chapter of American Dental Education Association, and led the development of the Pediatric Club into an established division. At Roseman, Dr. Bo helped coordinate Give Kids a Smile, Back to School Brush-Up, and numerous outreach events in the local community, such as the Boys & Girls Club. She graduated with the Distinguished Lifelong Colleague Award, Distinguished Leadership Award, and Dedication to Academic Achievement Award. During her residency, Dr. Bo treated the underserved community at San Ysidro Health and children with special healthcare needs at the top-ranking Rady Children’s Hospital. Then she studied beyond required training to become board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Bo continues to stay up-to-date with best practices and takes continued education courses to expand on her clinical skills and knowledge. Dr. Bo’s approach to care emphasizes the importance of prevention and education. As a child, she was very scared of going to the dentist and her priority is to foster positive associations early so that her patients grow up with healthy habits and oral care practices. Dr. Bo is committed to working with families to establish realistic routines and discussing all available treatment options, including minimally invasive procedures, while following evidence-based clinical guidelines. Dr. Cam has always loved solving puzzles, whether that meant cracking a tricky problem, tinkering with the latest tech, or guiding teeth into their perfect positions. Outside of work, Dr. Cam loves spending time with his family, trying new restaurants around the city, and traveling on adventures to explore different cultures. Curiosity prevails in all of his hobbies and interests; playing strategy board games, battling it out in Pokémon, diving deep into Star Wars lore, or building elaborate LEGO sets (It’s no surprise – orthodontics is basically a real-life engineering project with teeth, carefully moving each piece until everything fits just right). His passion for orthodontics first sparked in Dr. Bo’s high school career project. What began as helping with an assignment turned into a genuine interest in the field. Orthodontics combines hands-on problem-solving, evolving technology, and the chance to help people feel more confident. With this one school project, Dr. Cam set on the path to becoming an orthodontist. At the University of Washington, Dr. Cam was committed to his studies, obtaining double degrees and regularly making the Dean’s List. While in dental school, he earned the Award for Excellence in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, recognizing his early standout talent in the field. After Roseman, Dr. Cam moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, where he practiced general dentistry in a remote community with limited access to specialists. He handled a wide variety of cases across every dental specialty, which gave him invaluable experience and a deep appreciation for patients who felt anxious or hadn’t received consistent dental care growing up. Those years strengthened his emphasis on patience, clear communication, and creating a space where everyone feels at ease. Dr. Cam completed his orthodontic residency at Roseman University in Henderson, receiving the Award for Excellence in Research for his contributions during training, including publication of dental research to improve enamel health. Becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics marked the natural culmination of his training and reflects his deep commitment to the highest standard of care. He brings a comprehensive approach to every orthodontic journey at Avocabo. As a lifelong tech enthusiast, he thoughtfully integrates new tools and techniques into his practice, always focusing on efficiency, comfort, and predictable, transformative results. Above all, he wants the practice to feel like a welcoming space where patients and their families look forward to coming in, a place where everyone is heard, respected, and genuinely excited about the journey to a smile they love.
