Dental 3D Imaging
Traditional dental X-rays give us a flat, two-dimensional view of your teeth and jaw. Our cone beam CT (CBCT) scanner gives us a complete, three-dimensional picture of your entire oral and facial structures, captured in a single low-radiation scan.
We use the RayAmerica Vision 18, a high-resolution CBCT system that delivers detailed imaging with a fraction of the radiation exposure of conventional medical CT scans.
That level of detail allows us to evaluate things a standard X-ray simply cannot show:
• Airway size and obstruction, which can be a factor in sleep-disordered breathing and mouth breathing in children
• The position of unerupted or impacted teeth before they become a problem
• Jaw and facial bone development for early orthodontic planning
• Root and bone structure for precise treatment planning
• Accurate placement planning for orthodontic appliances and expanders
The result is more accurate diagnoses, better treatment outcomes, and fewer surprises along the way.
Popular CBCT systems used in dental practices include Vatech, RayAmerica, Dexis, and Prexion.
"We’re very pleased with Dr. Kwok’s care for our daughter. From the initial consult, Dr. Kwok explained the treatment plan clearly, answered our questions, and kept us informed about progress and milestones. The whole team is friendly, gentle, and efficient, and the results so far have been excellent. Highly recommended for thoughtful, child-friendly orthodontic care."
