When we need a complete picture of how a patient's face, jaws, and teeth relate to each other, a traditional X-ray only tells part of the story.
The RayFace captures a detailed 3D image of facial features in a single half-second scan, completely non-invasive and radiation-free. We use it selectively for cases where a fuller clinical picture guides better decision-making, primarily growth and development evaluations and orthodontic treatment planning.
What makes it especially useful is how it works alongside our RayAmerica Vision 18 CBCT system. The facial scan, intraoral scan, and CT data can all be merged into a single 3D digital patient, allowing us to evaluate soft tissue and bone structure together.
For orthodontic consultations, the built-in simulator can generate a before-and-after visualization of projected treatment outcomes, which helps patients and families understand what treatment is working toward before committing to it.
